Recap
After 2 Cup Games, we are finally back in League action at Home versus Tenterden Town Reserves even though we are missing 11+ key players we still had a strong side.
The first half was very uneventful with both sides not giving us much to write about, except for a Branden Walsh which was unlucky not to score when it hit the post early on, 0-0 at Half Time.
We came out Second Half and scored early when the Ball dropped nicely to Kian Wilkins who despatched the Ball low passed the Keeper to score his first Goal of the Season.
We kept on pushing for the second goal and a toe punt from Braulio Antonio flew passed the keeper for his First Goal of Season on 79mins.
Then came the turning point which changed the Game, Anthony Newton was sent off for two bookable offences and shortly after Tenterden Town Res scored to make it 2-1. Following that they huffed and puffed, applying the pressure but couldn’t equalise.
A burst through the middle by Ernst Sturman who put Kian Wilkins through on Goal, Kian centered the ball for Ernst Sturman to score at the far post on 90mins to seal the 3 points.
We made hard work of it, but got the 3 points that were needed, that’s 10 league games unbeaten for GTFC.
Man of The Match went to Vitor Razera for his dominant display at the back.
